Wild Girls (Straits Times 22 Mar ‘08)

The Straits Times on 22 Mar 08 (Sat) had a seven-page feature on “Wild Girls” at our local scene on Pg S14. Yong-en’s Manager (Kids, Teens and Family), Ms Stella Tan was quoted on Pg S2 to comment that most neglected youths misbehave to get their parents to notice them.

Sunny In Their Twilight Years (Straits Times 7 Apr ‘08)

In the article, our home help client Mdm Woo was mentioned to thrive on the activities organized by Yong-en Care Centre nearby her home. She has heard of old people who went back to China healthy but died shortly after because they had no friends and nothing to do there.

Though the price of food and groceries are going up, our home help client Mdm Chan was mentioned to always maintained a positive outlook on life.  It was mentioned that she takes pride in working with her own hands and does not believe in relying on hand-outs.
