Yong-en Care Centre has a vision for the Chinatown Community to be filled with love and care for one another. There are those who had lived here for decades, or for as long as they can remember. The others either work or conduct their businesses here. Whatever it may be, the hope is that we will have a sense of belonging and bonding for this place and with one another.There are those who have come from China leaving their families behind, now wishing to live out their last days here in Chinatown. There are also those, whose families have grown up and left for the other parts of Singapore. These folks want to continue to be in this community, where their friends are and also where they find comfort and joy.
You can play a part in maintaining this vibrant and lively community, where the elderly folks can still live independently and with dignity. Likewise, the younger ones can find it a place that is rich in tradition and cultural heritage.
