Respite Care for Caregivers
Yong-en Dementia Day Care
Our centre-based therapeutic programme for PLWD adopts a person-centred care approach. To support holistic care and promote dignity in ageing, personalised activities are curated to slow cognitive and physical decline whilst providing respite and support for caregivers.
At Yong-en’s Dementia Day Care, we offer:

Wellness Inspired Senior Enrichment (WISE)
6-month programme provides personalised support to both PLWD and their caregivers. It aim to improve the relationship, cognitive functions, overall quality of life, and the psycho-emotional well-being of the participants.

(NEW!) ENLIVEN, Cognitive Intervention Programme (CIP2.0)
ENLIVEN is a 7-week intervention programme to enrich the lives of PLWD, offering twice weekly, 3-hour group sessions with physical, cognitive, and social activities. Caregivers are encouraged to observe to support continued engagement of home.
We ENLIVEN PLWDs through:
- Stimulate Minds (Strengthen Cognitive Function)
- Build Strength (Movement and Mobility)
- Connect People (Social Engagement)

Eligibility Criteria
Everyone who applies to Yong-en Dementia Day Care is subject to an assessment of eligibility and suitability for the services we offer. This is based on the admission criteria below:
- Persons with a diagnosis of dementia/ Alzheimer’s Disease by a Singapore Medical Council-registered medical practitioner.
- Referrals can be raised via Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), the central coordinating body for the placement of clients to Intermediate-Long Term Care (ILTC) services (including dementia daycare). All referrals must be supported with evidence of the diagnosis of dementia by a Singapore Medical Council-registered medical practitioner and the clients’ relevant medical information.
